Good news, vaccine hopes

November 23, 2020 — ~stern
There is good news at last, there are several vaccine candidates that could very well end this virus. AstraZeneca's candidate is among them, along with Pfizer's candidate and others. The way most of these vaccines work is that you get one shot, wait two weeks and then get the second shot. The election went quite well, our current president is now a lame duck making things worse for president elect Joeseph Biden's transition.

COVID-19 is Vascular

September 05, 2020 — ~stern
Apparently it has been discovered that COVID-19 is potentially vascular, not respiratory, that was what we originally thought, we could be wrong.

There's a vaccine, finally

May 06, 2020 — ~stern

Turns out, our president is an idiot. Shutting down the Coronavirus Task Force will put this mess on a train to hell with a bow on it's head.

Good news is that there is a vaccine in clinical trials, it's not deactivated Coronavirus, it's MRNA coded to make normal cells display coronavirus antigens, sure, It causes the Killer T cells to kill normal cells, but it's actually a briliant way to deal with the theory that Coronavirus came out of a bioweapons lab;

They don't use the virus itself, they use MRNA to recode cells for the purpose of using them in the place of the virus itself,

we have no idea what the virus is capable of/designed to do, so that variable is taken out of the equation entirely.

Wow, what a month.

Bad News

April 24, 2020 — ~stern
I just got bad news yesterday, my grandmother is likely ill. I'll miss her dearly, as well as her husband, Dave, if he passes as well.

Doing well

April 21, 2020 — ~stern
Looks like Newsbeat is still open, quite nice. Sadly, there is a movement involving a bunch of people wanting the economy to be opened again, thing is, they are not thinking about COVID-19 and as such, a vector for it to spread. That's what I consider Darwinism during a pandemic, but still, it's worth understanding their viewpoint.

What an interesting day

March 30, 2020 — ~stern
Well, a hospital ship made it to NYC, that's good, it's for the non covid-19 patients, apparently. By the way, Donald Trump is incompetent, don't trust what he's saying about covid-19. A pastor got arrested, he held a church service and told his parish to come to church, and they did. He's not that good of a shepherd, given what the world is going through right now.

Well, that escalated quickly

March 29, 2020 — ~stern
Turns out, you can tell when things get really bad when the person in charge of the government pulls a 180 on a major political action. well, at least he didn't make another mistake.

Yet another interesting day

March 26, 2020 — ~stern
well, it seems that a lot has happened: New York was designated the epicenter of the pandemic, made it to Trader Joes and accidentally bought too much, the 10% discount I used should have gone towards my mother, they were out of the unshelled edamame, that was supprising, sure hope our country, nay, continent learns from this pandemic.
